Chuck Lawless
Dr. Lawless is the dean of the Billy Graham School of Missions and Evangelism at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He also serves as Vice President for Academic Programming and the Director of Professional Doctoral Studies.
Dr. Lawless served as pastor of two Ohio churches prior to joining the seminary faculty in 1996. He received a B.S. degree from Cumberland College (now the University of the Cumberlands) and M.Div. and Ph.D. degrees from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
He is the author of six works, including Membership Matters, Spiritual Warfare, Discipled Warriors, Making Disciples through Mentoring, and Putting on the Armor. He has contributed articles to denominational periodicals, written Sunday School curriculum for LifeWay Christian Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention, and led conferences on spiritual warfare, healthy church growth, leadership, evangelism and discipleship, and prayer.
Dr. Lawless is also president of the Lawless Group, a church consulting firm (www.thelawlessgroup.com). More recently, he has accepted a three-year assignment as Consultant for Global Theological Education for the International Mission Board.
Dr. Lawless and his wife, Pam, reside in Crestwood, KY.
